If you would like to start your own flock joining the association is essential if you intend to breed your own pedigrees. You can choose a prefix for your flock and register your pedigree lambs to that flock prefix. You will be eligible to vote and stand for council.
To encourage the younger generation junior members (up to age 18) have all the benefits of full membership (with the exception of voting rights & eligibility for council nomination). Its a great place to start.
For those not able to keep a flock but who would like to support and be associated with the breed. Associate members appear in our annual flock book and receive the quarterly newsletter, 'clippings'. Associate members do not have voting rights and are not eligible for council nomination. Associate members are welcome to attend LLSBA events and the AGM.
This is a fundraising initiative to generate funds for breed promotion. The 100 club is a monthly lottery style draw which costs £12/year. Half of the revenue from the 100 club is re-distributed in prize money and the other half is donated to the association. A great way of supporting the breed with a monthly chance of winning a prize in return. Also makes a great gift!
